Attached are the MTA/AFT/BTU proposals for statewide negotiations with DESE around reopening schools.  These serve as the basis for statewide bargaining with Commissioner Riley as well as "non-negotiables" for our own bargaining in Revere.  RTA eboard will be holding a zoom meeting on Wednesday at 3:30 to discuss and vote on whether to endorse these proposals. Come if you are able.  The goal is to have these to present to our school committee and Central Office prior to the start of our own bargaining on July 23.

      About this event

This session is a town hall hosted by members of MTA's Environmental Health & Safety committee and MTA staff. This town hall will discuss the broad health and safety concerns related to returning to work in the fall and will review the resources produced by the MTA Health and Safety Committee to help locals prepare. Members will have an opportunity to share organizing strategies and common safety issues across locals. The goals of this conversation include establishing an organizing framework for health and safety; ensuring members, students and their communities are protected; and, building our union power.
